WUNDERCAMERA SAVANNAH

Invited by curator Tania Sammons; curated by Klaus Wehner/Museum Clausum, the third in the series, Wundercamera Savannah brought together nearly 80 works by twelve international artists:

Mark Dion, Andy Freeberg, Andrew Grassie, Karl Grimes, Vid Ingelevics, Valery Katsuba, Louise Lawler, Stuart Leech/Dulwich Picture Gallery, Museum Clausum, Matthew Pillsbury, Richard Ross and Hiroshi Sugimoto.

In preparation to the exhibition, Wehner was commissioned by Telfair Museums to take photographs of all three of the museum's sites: The Telfair Academy, the Jepson Center for the Arts and the Owens-Thomas House. The resulting works were interspersed in the installation.
The exhibition finished with a mural showing a multi-layered 'ghost' image of previous Wundercamera exhibitions. The project was supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
